Hornbaek Town
Unlike most holiday towns, Hornbaek is bustling with activity all-year-round – a pleasure to visit no matter the season.
High skies, the changing colourful nature and the busy harbour have for more than a hundred years helped to make Hornbaek one of Denmark’s most popular holiday resorts.
The supermarkets are open every day of the week all-year-round and during the summer season many of the speciality shops are also open every day – Sundays until 14.00 hrs
Hornbaek Beach
The kilometre long well kept sandy beach is child-friendly and has safe shallow waters for bathing, watched over by lifeguards. There are toilets and kiosks. And dunes where you can find peace and quiet. That’s why people come here year after year.
For the more active minded there are water cycles also beach volley and windsurfing etc.
There are special footpaths giving access to the beach for wheelchairs.
Hornbaek Harbour is a very active, modern yachting harbour having all the necessary facilities. Local sports fishermen follow in the tracks of their ancestors, who fished there for a living four hundred years ago. For many years both the harbour and the beach have been awarded the “Blue Flag”.
